Two died in the road accident in Surikhali area of Rajapur

Two bike riders died in a road accident while going to meet a relative admitted in the hospital. The incident took place in Surikhali area of Rajapur police station area on National Highway No. 16. The names of the deceased have been stated as Sheikh Sabir Ali Midde (37) and Sheikh Sudan (48). Sheikh Sabir Ali Midde is a resident of Sulati Sipaipara under Sankrail police station of Howrah while Sheikh Sudan is a resident of Jaynagar under Panchla police station. According to police sources, a relative of the deceased youth is undergoing treatment at Uluberia Medical College.

On Saturday night, four youths on two bikes were coming to meet him. Sabir and Sudan were on a bike. At around 1 am in the night, his bike went out of control near Shurikhali and hit the divider. The collision was so strong that both of them fell on the road. Both of them were taken to Uluberia Sharat Chandra Chatterjee Medical College in critical condition where doctors declared them dead. The incident was informed to the police of Rajapur police station.

On the other hand, at least 40 passengers were injured in the collision between a dumper and a government bus loaded with passengers. The incident took place on Raniganj-Morgram National Highway No. 14 near Maheshpur village of Nalhati police station area of Birbhum. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
